Carina Chang
Carina Chang is the founder and editor-in-chief of REFLECTION, where she also leads photography and video production. Born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, she has a background in graphic design and exhibition production. Her early work centred on designing and promoting art-course experiences to bring the public closer to art, and she later worked in real-estate planning, transforming vacant and unsold spaces into venues for art exhibitions. In 2020 she founded the international exhibition brand LEXPO, and in 2022 established the artist residency Subtlehaus in Sakai, Osaka. Working across the art scenes of Asia and Europe, she continues to bring emerging artists to international art fairs in Paris, Seoul, Zurich, New York and beyond, reporting, writing and producing imagery first-hand. During her MBA (Global Business) at Coventry University, UK, she was invited to give a guest lecture in 2025 titled "Strategic Management of Cross-Cultural Arts Entrepreneurship: An Asia–Europe Perspective." She believes that words and images are what allow us to understand art, and that good journalism helps readers grasp the context and creative intent behind a work.
