
ASIA PORTAL, RESONATING HORIZONS: LEXPO Taiwanese artists travel to the unknown in Osaka
(Osaka News) Kiyo Bank presents UNKNOWN ASIA 2025” International Art Fair will be held in Osaka in December this year. Jury was selected by a Japanese jury, and LEXPO Taiwan, Taiwan's international curation platform, confirmed the exhibition as the only gallery in this art fair. With “Where Culture & Art in Motion” as its core concept, LEXPO Taiwan will feature works by 11 Taiwanese artists, booth number F-01. UNKNOWN ASIA ENTERS ITS 11TH EDITION THIS YEAR WITH A MISSION AND VISION OF BELIEVING IN THE POSSIBILITY OF “THE POWER OF CREATION” AND THE “CONNECTION BETWEEN PEOPLE” AND COMMITTED TO ENABLING THE AUDIENCE TO EXPERIENCE “ASIA'S PRESENT” AND CULTIVATE THE FUTURE OF ART TOGETHER. LEXPO Taiwan's exhibition reflects this vision.
Founded in 2020 by curator Carina Chang, LEXPO Taiwan's mission is to promote meaningful cultural exchange between Europe and Asia through contemporary art. Focusing on multinational exhibition planning, the team is committed to bringing the voices of emerging and renowned artists internationally in Taiwan and the Asia-Pacific region. The team aims to bring Taiwan's artistic energy to Osaka's vibrant Asian gateway market and present the diverse landscape of contemporary art in Taiwan. The exhibition focuses on art and interweaves culture, food and music from all over Asia, embodying “Asia's present” and nurturing the future together. It is worth mentioning that the visual design of this exhibition was specially invited by Mayu Konishi, a Japanese graphic designer from Kyoto, to add a unique sense of communication to the exhibition through the cross-cultural collaboration of Teiji designers.
LEXPO Taiwan brings together 11 outstanding Taiwanese artists with unique styles, whose works show a multi-layered exploration of inner emotion, time purification to cultural symbols.

CHANG WAI KEI SPECIALIZES IN CREATIVE VOCABULARY USING ANIMALS AND PLANTS, COMBINING REALITY AND IMAGINATION TO CREATE A WORLDVIEW FULL OF HAPPINESS AND HOPE. Drawing inspiration from everyday life and music, he transforms jazz rhythms into oriental ink, bringing visual and auditory fusion.
Inspired by East Western myths and animations of Miyazaki, Xie Zhen built the unique world of “Godland” with illustrations of ceramics and ink. Her work is inspired by Eastern myths and animations of Miyazaki Juno, dazzling humor and healing spirit. Wong Tingri is a contemporary artist with emotion at its heart, using saturated color blocks and minimalist lines to build emotional tension. Het en.
CHOW SEI-YING'S WORK EXPLORES THE CYCLE OF LIFE AND THE MEANING OF EXISTENCE, WITH REPEATED PORTRAITS AND TANGLED HAIRS SYMBOLIZING INTERPERSONAL ENTANGLEMENT AND MEMORY. She evokes thoughts about life's ephemerality and phantoms with images that intersect with reality and create emotional resonance.
Inspired by the meticulous emotions of everyday life, Wang Ziyi's creations combine oriental elements with a childlike touch with classical aesthetics to present “the truthfulness and romance of adults”. Her characters flow between simplicity and philosophy, creating a gentle and poetic atmosphere.
Hin-wei Lin graduated with a Master's degree from the National Taiwan University of the Arts with a Ph.D. in Scripture from the Taitung University of Culture, Japan. In his “Porch Window Series”, he captures the moments between departure and arrival, depicting his expectations for the future through clouds and light.
Shao is a very energetic artist who transmutes cosmic energy through abstraction and mandala painting, conveying spirituality and spiritual awareness. Her work emphasizes inner balance and positive thinking, guiding the viewer to connect with the inner light.
Combining Japanese anime style with modern elements, David Ding's work travels between fantasy and reality, depicting moments of urban, traditional and pop culture fusion, showing the romanticism and poetry of anime visuals.
Selena Lin explores inner emotional and mental balance with lines and colors. The work blends abstraction with childishness to create dreamlike urban rhythms and color levels, illustrating the flow of life and hope through art.
Inspired by children's art therapy, Sarena Lo seeks healing and tranquility in her creations. She loves nature and travel. She is good at drawing flowers, plants and animals in soft strokes, expressing poetry and love for life.
Emmy Chen is a blue-centric artist who expresses the passage of time and the resilience of life through oil and alcohol ink works. She interweaves emotion with light and color to create a steadfast beauty like a diamond.
