Taiwan Painting Stage Teacher-Student Joint Exhibition "Show Time!": A Visual Feast by 23 Artists
The stage for contemporary art is set on the banks of the Seine in Paris. Taiwanese art education brand "Painting Stage" will host its faculty and student joint exhibition, "Show Time!" (Paris Group Art Exhibition by Painting Stage), from June 12 to 16, 2026, at Espace Sorbonne 4, located in the heart of Paris's cultural district.
This exhibition is led by artist Karen Chiu, who comes from a non-academic background and possesses interdisciplinary independent thinking. Karen's work consistently focuses on the psychological paradox of "alienation and the desire for connection" in the contemporary social era. She excels at building rock-like textures with delicate oil paints and incorporating surreal symbols such as floating balloons. This time, she leads 22 energetic Taiwanese artists in an overseas exhibition, metaphorically transforming the venue into an art theater. Each piece is a unique visual performance, with artists imbuing their paintings with protagonist roles and inner dramas, inviting Parisian audiences to witness the spectacular "Show Time."

Founded in Taiwan, Painting Stage is an open studio that breaks away from traditional, rigid frameworks. It doesn't define standards, transforming the space into an artistic realm that fosters free spirits. In a quiet, well-lit, and open space, Painting Stage blurs the boundaries between different mediums such as oil painting, acrylics, alcohol ink, and fluid art, allowing concrete compositional layering and abstract paint flow to coexist in the same space and time. Here, creators can break free from the constraints of academic dogma, responding to the canvas intuitively and developing a unique personal language through a cycle of progression, expansion, and refinement. Painting Stage believes everyone possesses innate perception, helping individuals find their own stage on the canvas.
