
Contemporary Chinese Art: Responding to the World Through Creation — Art Shopping at the Carrousel du Louvre, Paris
From 17 to 19 October 2025, the 29th Art Shopping Art Fair will be presented at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, France. Booth A10, curated by LEXPO Taiwan, will present ten Chinese artists to showcase the diverse and vibrant contemporary creations of scented space art, Eastern Western painting, street art and craft design to an international audience. Curator Carina Chang works to foster dialogue between European and Asian cultures. Through her curatorial projects, she highlights the richness and diversity of Taiwanese culture in Europe while building bridges for new artistic collaborations and exhibitions. On the eve of Paris Art Week, one of the annual events in the global arts scene that highlights contemporary art and collection trends, including Paris+ par Art Basel, major gallery exhibitions and urban art activities, showcasing the depth and creativity of Chinese art for the upcoming Paris Art Week Unveiling the opening ceremony.

The artists featured in this exhibition span different fields and generations, presenting the rich spiritual world and cultural connections of Chinese creators.
WabiKiwi With an architectural background, now a fragrance artist. SHE COMBINES SPATIAL DESIGN, SMELL, AND MEDITATION TO CREATE A CALM, PURE, AND POETIC SENSORY FIELD THAT LEADS THE VIEWER INTO A STATE OF INNER BREATHING AND PERCEPTION.
Sarena Lo Inspired by travel and nature, the work combines delicate touches with poetic atmosphere, depicting a gentle dialogue between everyday life and landscape. Her watercolors have a quiet rhythm that exudes inner observation and warmth.
Chen Yen-ju With a theological and artistic background, the link between land, faith and time is integrated into the canvas, presenting a spiritual space of thought and tranquility in subtle color and imagery.
Billy Degas Lo It reimagines Paris landmarks in high saturation and brightness, incorporating East Asian perspectives into French cultural symbols, creating a visual rhythm full of tension and vitality.
Nana Liang Her work explores childhood, trauma, and self-healing through role and symbolic vocabulary. Her characters blend fantasy and reality, both fragile and tenacious, revealing the multi-layered aspect of inner emotion.
Phyllis Chua Hailing from Malaysia, settled in Taiwan, known for pattern design and mixed media. SHE INCORPORATES TRADITIONAL ORIENTAL FLORAL AND FLORAL ELEMENTS INTO MODERN DESIGNS TO PRESENT A RICH VISUAL VOCABULARY THAT BLENDS SOMETHING WITH EVERYDAY ARTISTIC POETRY.
Muzi Fann Born in Beijing, he is an inheritor of the art of Jingtai blue. SHE CREATES GUANNIN AND FLORAL THEMED PIECES WITH DELICATE GOLD LINES AND ENAMEL, COMBINING TRADITIONAL CRAFTS WITH CONTEMPORARY AESTHETICS, EXPRESSING THE DEEP UNDERPINNINGS AND ELEGANCE OF ORIENTAL CULTURE.
Derex Chu Using street art as a creative language, combining faith, romance and social consciousness, it conveys the power of hope and recovery through vivid images, making art a vehicle for comfort and connection.
Jia-wen ChiuWith Light in the Heart at its core, explore the truth of life and the freedom of the soul through free composition and energetic strokes.
Lu Hsueh-yao An expert in printmaking and mixed media, his Eden series interweaves nebulae with flowers to present mysterious, poetic and philosophical natural scenes that invite viewers into a peaceful meditation on the cosmos.
