Amidst blue, re-examining the states of "departure" and "creation."

Taipei — Nicolas Lefeuvre's solo exhibition 'Lande(scape) de la nuit' will be presented at V&EART. This exhibition continues the artist's observations from his recent life in Asia, transforming cultural fluidity, climatic perception, and inner states into perceptible visual experiences through two series, "Lande(scape)s" and "Faire la nuit."

Having traveled frequently between Europe and Asia, Nicolas Lefeuvre's creations are not a reproduction of specific landscapes, but rather a depiction of a state. He reinterprets Asian local elements through a French perspective, transforming cultural climate and material perception into layered blue canvases, creating a visual language that is both serene and fluid.

Although it is an abstract cultural translation, his works demonstrate a high degree of precision and restraint in the handling of details and materials. The control from color layers to texture, built upon a meticulous arrangement of time and viewing experience, naturally connects its vocabulary with the values of luxury brands.

This exhibition also introduces the oriental fragrance brand K度⼗光

Extending the perceptual layers of the artworks through scent, for the "Lande(scape)s" series, "7.8 Summer Solstice | Stillness Time" was chosen as the fragrance ambiance; while for the "Faire la nuit" series, "5.6 Grain Rain | Core Time" was selected, providing viewers with a holistic experience that extends from sight to smell.

The artist previously served as Creative Director for Chanel Tokyo, participated in major art fairs like Art Paris and BRAFA, and is currently in discussions with Musée Soulages for an exhibition collaboration.

Vermeer, the gallery director, expressed hope that this exhibition would create a viewing space that resonates with the seasonal ambiance, allowing visitors to engage with the artworks in a tranquil state and find sensory and emotional balance within the color blue.
