TBA Art Platform presents “Myth Makers: Contemporary Urban Art Exhibition” , breaking down the distance between the public and art

In the midst of a bustling metropolis, can we still pause and let art enter the rhythm of everyday life? The Bridge Art (TBA) has recently launched its latest curated exhibition at NOKE Taipei. As the curator of this exhibition, TBA takes on the role of promoting artistic diversity and announces that it has become the exclusive Asian representative of the French artist duo Leo&Steph, introducing their well-known creation “Kidcup” to the Asian stage and drawing significant attention from both the art world and street culture.

The exhibition title “Myth Makers” refers to the myth-makers of our time—artists who construct fictional characters and translate lived experience through their creations. Using varied media including painting, sculpture, installation, and trend-driven art, they shape fairy-tale-like spaces of imagination while attempting to respond to the anxieties and expectations urban dwellers face in contemporary society. As a new-type venue that brings together trends, culture, and lifestyle experiences, 忠泰NOKE樂生活 resonates with the spirit of this curatorial concept, forming a wall-less dialogue of art with its surroundings.

One highlight of the exhibition is the “Kid Cup” series making its debut in Asia. Hailing from France, the duo Leo&Steph employs a bold pop sensibility and a fresh, childlike visual language to create the character “Kid Cup,” breaking down the high wall between art and the public through street graffiti and cartoon forms. TBA’s introduction of this series signals its ambition to connect internationally and also reflects the Taiwanese contemporary art market’s growing openness and diversification.

Beyond Leo&Steph, the exhibition features works by over 30 artists from different generations and with varied approaches to media, spanning painting, mixed media, installation, and spatial art. The venue is designed as multiple zones where themes such as fairy-tale symbols, identity and memory, and time and the future are interwoven. As visitors move along the exhibition flow, they can sense a connection between the pulse of urban life, artistic inquiry, and emotional projection in each work. Through such presentation, TBA hopes to create an art environment that is both thought-provoking and approachable.

From the exhibition content, several key observations can be drawn:First, exhibitions are increasingly stepping out of the White Cube and into venues such as malls, communities, and hybrid spaces, bringing art closer to everyday contexts.Second, the role of the artist is transforming into that of a storyteller and cultural translator, with artworks becoming a new language for understanding the world.Third, the boundary between trend culture and art is increasingly blurred; creation is no longer confined to galleries and museums and may become part of street brands or social totems.Fourth, audiences are shifting from passive receivers to interactive participants; exhibitions tend to be designed with experiential, shareable, and memorable touchpoints.Fifth, the Asian market’s acceptance of original characters and licensed art is rising rapidly, becoming one of the new driving forces of the art economy.

It is also worth noting that the exhibition uses curation and design to make art truly “no longer distant.” From spatial wayfinding and QR interactions to the integration of artworks, visitors are offered a full-spectrum sensory experience, as if stepping into a living art universe. This is precisely the curatorial intention TBA strives to realize: to make art an everyday landscape in people’s lives rather than an inaccessible high wall.

Since its establishment, TBA Art Platform has taken “connecting art and life” as its core philosophy, actively facilitating interaction among artists, spaces, brands, and markets. TBA has curated multiple landmark projects in the past, such as 《cama café Art Walk》 and 《Artpocalypse》, successfully opening pathways for art to enter popular culture. This presentation of “Myth Makers” not only continues TBA’s curatorial style that combines experimental spirit with cultural depth, it also symbolizes its ongoing strategic commitment to the Asian art market—particularly its achievements in cultivating a younger generation of art collectors and developing international representation.
